KitKat Look Release

  Hey . In this post I am going to release the KitKat Look for our Orange Hiro , show you how to install it and some BUGS etc .
 

       First , I want to say a '' Thank You '' to all people who let their opinion to be heard by me , by saying this I mean all XDA community :) Thank you , Thank you , Thank you ! I am not so '' famous '' as a developer there , I did all my researches by myself and no one helped me out when I was in trouble .

  Now , time for the ROM .
 Started this because I wanted to know how to do that .. I was totally N00B . It seems that I did it pretty well so now it is ready to be launched .
KNOWN BUGS :
  -If you press Factory Reset , it is going to be again Jelly Bean 
               How to fix ?
    If you want to do a Factory Reset , simply re-restore the ROM from TWRP .
  -The KitKat BootAnimation leaves a black line up and down because of the resolution .
               How to fix ?
     Find another KitKat BootAnimation and put it there . 
   -The KitKat BootAnimation ends before starting up .
                How to Fix ?
      Find another bootanimation or simply select QuickStart , to speed up the procedure .

KitKat Look Overview

     A lot of you asked me when I am going to publish the KitKat looking JellyBean ROM . 
       Here are some features :

KitKat look for Orange Hiro

   This is a small project started by me  . I try to get as much as possible of the KitKat in our JellyBean . There is a screenshot of my work :

XPosed Recovery

     Tried to install XPosed Framework on  Orange Hiro , and it seems that it gets stuck at boot :(
  It was actually a surprise for me to discover that my phone won't boot anymore ..

      I made some researches over the internet and came up with some results :
       
                   1: ( This one fixed mine ) Full charge the phone then disconect it , press the POWER + VOLUME UP buttons and when the screen lights up release them . The recovery should appear , Wipe data and then restart and Voila ! your phone is fixed .

                   2: If you have CWM installed , just boot into recovery and restore the backup , if you don't have one , use the !st solution above ^^^^^.

                                         

Stock ROM - Tutorial

   Hello readers ! In this post I am going to show you how to flash the Stock Alcatel One Touch Idol Mini ( 6012x ) on  Orange Hiro .
 
  THIS IS PRETTY EASY TO DO , BUT IF YOU WANT MORE DETAILS ABOUT THE THE ROM , YOU SHOULD READ THIS :http://orangehiro.blogspot.ro/2014/03/stock-rom.html

   Here we go :

 1 ) Download this recovery by CyberianIce , Extract the content and put it in your SD                            http://www.fileshare.ro/e30303974
 2 ) Download MobileUncle MTK Tools from Google Play Store.
 3 ) Open the app and press '' Update Recovery '' option .
 3)  Choose the recovery_TWRP_FIX.img .
 4) The app will flash it , and when it finish , will appear a Message asking you if you want to enter recovery , press Yes .
 5) You should be now in Recovery Mode , choose backup and let the recovery do the job , in case if the Stock Rom won't work.
 6) Download the Stock ROM from this link : https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_X...it?usp=sharing
 7)Replace the files from you SD card ( TWRP > BACKUPS > Alcatel_6012X_MT6572 > 2014-03-01--12-35-38 ( the date when it was created ) ) with the files from the ZIP you just downloaded  ( about 900 MB )
 8)Enter the Recovery Mode again , choose Restore and press the backup you put on your SD card on step 7 .
 9)Wait for the Rectore Procedure to finish .
10) Go back to the main page in recovery and press Wipe tab , then Wipe data / Factory reset .
11) Wait for this to finish and then Restart your device ;)

Stock ROM - description

    Hello ! Our highly dedicated DEVs on the XDA forum accomplished a very important mission : To Backup a fully functional ROM from the original Alcatel One Touch Idol Mini .
  Of course that they shared it with us , so I managed to flash it on my branded Orange Hiro from Orange Romania .

     I am going to show you how to flash it  in my next update on this post , because I don't have any free time right now ...

How to install a custom recovery ...

   What is a Custom Recovery ? 

         A recovery is a small distinct environment separate from Android that allows diagnostic updates, and the ability to perform factory resets. 

  Why we need a Custom Recovery ?
      
         The main purpose of this is to provide a way to reset an Android device  and install ZIP , custom ROMs .

    What we can do AFTER we installed a Custom Recovery ?

         - install a ZIP  like GAPPS ( Google Apps )
         - flash ROM
         -do a Backup 
         -Restore a Backup 
         -wipe cache
         -wipe data
         -fix permissions
         -partition SD Card


     We'll accomplish this with : MTK PC Tools , this will flash CWM Recovery v5.5.x.x.x.x

                SOME ANTIVIRUS PROGRAMS SEEMS TO SHOW SOME VIRUSES , BUT THAT IS BECAUSE MTK DROID TOOLS USES SOME ''STRANGE'' WAYS TO ANTIVIRUS PROGRAMS.

     HOW TO ?

 

                  First , you need to connect your device and wait for MTK to load it , if the GREEN square in the bottom left corner is YELLOW , that means that you need to root your device .

                      If you don't know how , look here :LINK

                  If the square is RED , you can't ROOT or Install a Recovery ... I'm sorry ..... 

          1) Press the ROOT , BACKUP , RECOVERY tab .

    

2) Choose '' To Use Boot from Phone ''

3) Press ''Recovery And Boot''  button .

4)Reboot you Phone by pressing the Power button , or by Pressing the ''Reboot'' button .

     

How to ROOT your smartphone ?

       
      This tutorial worked for Orange Hiro , but it may be compatible with almost all smartphones !

      -What is ROOT ?

       Android rooting is the process of allowing users of smartphones , tablets , and other devices running Android OS to attain ROOT ACCES within Android's subsystem.

      -Why we ROOT our smartphones ? 

      Rooting is often performed with the goal of overcoming limitations that carriers and hardware manufacturers put on some devices, resulting in the ability to alter or replace system applications and settings, run specialized apps that require administrator-level permissions, or perform other operations that are otherwise inaccessible to a normal Android user. On Android, rooting can also facilitate the complete removal and replacement of the device's operating system, usually with a more recent release of its current operating system.

     -What we can do AFTER we ROOT our phone ?

          

               -remove Bloatware

               -install custom recovery 

               -install custom ROM

               -use screen recorder

               -etc.

    

     There are two versions available for Orange Hiro , depending on their firmware : 

           ORANGE HIRO v1.0.0.1

   This task can be easily accomplished because all you need is FramaRoot.APK , verison 1.6.1

      Connect your phone with a USB cable
       Wait untill VROOT shows a '' ROOT '' button ... Press it and  : Voila ! Your Hiro is Permanently  Rooted ...
    UPDATE : Some antivirus programs seems to show this as a malware  ... IT IS SAFE !
